During the study of this building, we focused on the programmatic needs of the building and worked with the Owner and user groups to determine how to use the space in the most effective way to provide a safe and healthy environment for the students, faculty, and staff of Johnston Community College. Our design team worked with Stanford White, Lynch Mykins, Draper Aden Associates, and OBS Landscape Architecture to complete the renovation for the Student Success Center and Tart Building. This interior renovation of the building provides students of Johnston Community College with an updated space that includes a video studio, computer lab and testing lab, offices, classrooms, and collaborative study space.
