Overview
The revitalization of the Performing Arts Center Plaza is a transformative project that will elevate the visitor experience and enhance the cultural vibrancy of downtown Raleigh.
This project enhances accessibility and improves the overall visitor experience at the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh, NC. The updated Lichtin Plaza features improved wheelchair access with new accessible ramps leading to the venue, along with a reconfigured driveway and designated drop-off lane positioned closer to the building entrance for added convenience.
Our design process began with a comprehensive feasibility study that analyzed the site, proposed driveway and drop-off area, and overall accessibility improvements to the plaza. We actively engaged with stakeholders and downtown organizations to gather insights and ideas, ensuring the redesigned plaza serves as a welcoming and vibrant space for the community.
