HH Architecture, Architect of Record, is working with Erdy McHenry, Design Architect, on the new 10,835 square foot dairy facility at the College of Veterinary Medicine’s (CVM) on-site Teaching Animal Unit (TAU) is to be located at 318 Terry Curtin Drive on the Centennial Biomedical Campus (CBC). The new facility will demolish and replace the existing milking parlor with a larger, modern facility on an adjacent portion of the site.

The new facility will support the mission of the TAU by providing an updated design that enhances the hands-on experience of students in a live-animal commercial setting. The new structure will have a more efficient, modern layout, with all-weather observation and direct access to pastures, improved treatment stalls, and new equipment for milking, feed, water, and waste. It is envisioned that the new facility will allow the herd to expand to a total of 35 cows.
