TECHNICAL ARCHITECT

Full-time Technical Architect to oversee successful projects through completion. An employee in this role would collaborate with project teams in the development of documents and technical details. This position reports to the Technical Principal.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Participate in a wide range of projects through all phases of design and construction, including construction administration
  • Assist in the development of drawing sets to ensure technical competency, using HH Architecture and AIA standards
  • Ability to demonstrate effective leadership skills, to ensure technical development of documents, project coordination and quality control
  • Collaborate with a team and work as an advocate for project success through architectural technical development, including assisting with the detailing, project documentation, code compliance, and specifications
  • Practice and maintain HH Architecture technical standards including, specifications and quality control; present updates to staff
  • Research products and maintain relationships with vendors
  • Serve as a member of the quality control team and review project drawings and submissions; ensure technical competency of Construction Documents to maintain office and industry standards
  • Maintain office Specification software, including updates, office standards, office templates and staff training
  • Assist Technical Principal with maintaining updates to and compliance with previously established technical standards, including but not limited to, HH Drawing Set Manual and HH Project Manual and Standards documents
  • Assist with oversight of Construction Administration (CA) procedures and protocols
  • Assist Technical Principal with Facility Condition Assessment projects and protocols
  • Show competency in project sustainability efforts and assist project teams with the successful completion of sustainability certifications, including Green Globes, LEED and WELL
  • Work closely with firm leadership and staff to achieve a high level of technical competency
  • Anticipated billable performance: 50%-60%
Skills
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling, visualization and graphic software; REVIT strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of: Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam Revu, and BIM360
  • Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, specifications and building codes
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
Qualifications
  • Professional Degree in Architecture and licensure desired
  • Additional sustainable or technical accreditations (WELL, LEED or GGP) encouraged
  • 8+ years of experience
