MARKETING MANAGER

The Marketing Manager is responsible for oversight of all marketing functions and staff, providing market research, business development support, public relations, and proposal development coordination in support the firm’s strategic long-range plans. Ensures that schedules are met, and various aspects of proposals are accurate and delivered in a timely manner.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Manage and oversee the firm's overall marketing department and staff
  • Implement and manage brand and graphic standards and maintain brand consistency in all internal and external communications
  • Conduct SWOT assessment of company, pursuits, and/or teaming opportunities
  • Determine marketing objectives to meet firm wide goals
  • Establish marketing policies and procedures
  • Direct the preparation of the strategic plan, marketing plan, and establishment of the marketing budget
  • Initiate and develop contact with potential clients and work with principals to secure new clients and projects
  • Make commitments on behalf of firm, under previously established guidelines or based on strategic plan
  • Manage qualification, proposal, and presentation activities
  • Manage collateral materials development
  • Represent the firm to clients, peer organizations and business associates
  • Develop, identify, and manage affirmative action outreach to potential partners
  • Research and gather information on potential clients and projects
  • Work with appropriate team members to create and execute a winning strategy for all key chases; ensure teams have identified the appropriate benefits and differentiators
  • Work with firm leadership to achieve firm wide goals
Skills
  • Excellent knowledge of marketing fundamentals
  • Thorough understanding of A/E/C industry terminology and procedures
  • Comprehensive understanding of federal/state/local requirements as it applies to teaming and RFP’s/RFQ’s
  • Good mentoring/teaching abilities and leadership/managerial skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of firm’s practice, clientele, goals, policies, and procedures
  • Highly competent in marketing theory and practice
  • Thorough knowledge of marketing databases and proposal resources files
  • Able to work without close supervision and in a team environment.

  • Good time management skills and ability to prioritize
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelors Degree with 4-7 years experience
  • Recommended CPSM Certification
