MARKETING MANAGER
Our Marketing Manager is responsible for stewardship and growth of the HH Architecture brand. You’ll lead a team of talented, passionate marketers and oversee all marketing functions. You’ll support business development—including proposal development and coordination—develop thoughtful market research, execute a strategic public relations program, support the firm’s strategic long-range plans.
This a doer-manager role. Excellent writing skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize on the fly, a positive outlook, and proven marketing skills are needed.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop strategic marketing plan and objectives to meet firm-wide goals—including budget
- Business development support includes initiating and developing contacts at potential clients and working with principals to secure new clients and projects
- Ensure brand and graphic standards are met to maintain brand consistence across all communications and marketing platforms
- Manage all marketing staff—mentoring, coaching, and developing their skills
- Establish, document, and ensure adherence to marketing policies and procedures
- Manage qualification, proposal, and presentation activities
- Oversee the firm’s PR program
- Conduct SWOT assessment of company, pursuits, and/or teaming opportunities
- Manage collateral development
- Represent the firm to clients, peer organizations, business associates within the community
- Develop, identify, and manage affirmative action outreach to potential partners
- Research and gather information on potential clients and projects
- Work with team members to create and execute a winning strategy for all key chases; ensure teams have identified the appropriate benefits and differentiators
Skills
- Proven knowledge of marketing fundamentals in theory and practice
- Understanding of A/E/C industry terminology and procedures
- Strong understanding of federal/state/local requirements as it applies to teaming and RFPs/RFQs
- Mentoring/teaching skills and proven leadership/managerial experience
- Ability to see both the forest and the trees—and to rapidly prioritize and re-prioritize projects and deliverables
- Able to work without close supervision and in a team environment
- Excellent organizational skills
- Persistant
- Good time management and resource allocation skills
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree with 4-7 years experience, or commensurate experience
- Prefer CPSM Certification, or intent to achieve
- Working knowledge of North Carolina geography and regions
