INTERIOR DESIGNER II
Full-time Interior Designer II to participate on various projects through all phases of design and construction. An employee in this role should be a creative, self-motivated design professional who is able to utilize current technologies to achieve design excellence. This position reports to the Senior Interior Designer, Team Lead.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Collaborate as part of a team and work on a wide range of projects through all phases of design and construction
- Assist in the production of accurate technical drawings, documents, and project specifications
- Use and maintain project checklists and HHA established standards during all project phases
- Generate interior architecture concepts for projects, including full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating interior design assignments
- Plan and design interior aspects of multiple projects and sizes by developing appropriate concepts and approaches
- Provides subject matter expertise on specific components of interior design
- Coordinate and collaborate with project consultant teams
- Attend project meetings and site visits; write meeting minutes and reports detailing observations
- Review completed plans, reports, estimates and calculations prior to review by supervisor or project manager
- Support business development activities through assistance with aids such as presentations and renderings
- Be a resource to Emerging Professionals and Interior Designer I's
- Work closely with project leadership and staff to achieve a high level of project success
- Maintain project information within HHA established technologies (i.e., Deltek Vantagepoint), approve project time and invoices, and update schedules weekly
- Apply a rigorous concept-based design process to justify decision making
- Anticipated billable performance: 90%
Skills
- Proficiency in 3D modeling, visualization and graphic software; REVIT strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of: Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam Revu, and BIM360
- Strong Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, specifications and building codes
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
Qualifications
- Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field
- 6+ years of experience
- NCIDQ certification preferred, but not required
